Welcome to the 2021-22 school year, Huskies!

While 2020-21 brought new challenges and unusual circumstances, Friends of Hopkinson (FOH) is focused on keeping our Husky community strong and delivering the best education opportunities for our students. Our FOH board, made up of parent volunteers, was created over a decade ago in response to diminishing state and federal funding support for public education – very similar to the current situation we are experiencing in education. FOH raises funds to support the school’s vision of providing every child with a balanced and rigorous academic education, which includes opportunities in the arts and technology. FOH’s commitment to you is to be good stewards of your generous parent donations.

Each year, FOH meets with administration, teachers, and the district to determine the needs of Hopkinson and the potential costs. Our fundraising goes directly to those needs. FOH funds teacher planning and resources, supplemental technology, including Chromebooks and carts for each grade level, intervention, Reflex Math for all students, and much more. In addition, our biggest funding goes towards the Media Center teacher and instructional aide – which costs more than $60,000 for this school year and continues to increase every year.

Friends of Hopkinson is asking Husky families to consider donating $100 per child attending, if they are able to do so. We are looking for your support to continue to fund the staff positions, enrichment, technology, and the many other needs Hopkinson has. While we are asking $100 per child, we appreciate anything you can do this year to support our students. This is a tax-deductible donation (Tax ID: 33-574849)
